Grace's
Legacy: Links
In July, 2001, my canine soul-mate,
Amazing Grace was diagnosed with two different types of
cancer. For 2 1/2 years, she was a happy warrior in her
battle against this dreaded disease. Two
days after Christmas, 2003, I finally said good-by to
her. During the time we went through this together,
I learned a lot about cancer, chronic disease, alternative
therapies, new ways to combat cancer, and perhaps ways
to avoid it altogether.
Diet, nutrition,
and vaccine protocols have changed radically in recent
years. Grace was given a 4-6 month life expectancy if
she underwent chemotherapy and amputation of her leg.
Not being satisfied
with that option, I began an intense research project
to see if I could help her without impacting her quality
of life.
The result was
very rewarding. Grace and I had another 2 1/2 quality
years together. She was so vibrant that I hoped at times
that her diagnosis was wrong.
I've gathered
articles, websites, experts, and other information that
was invaluable in deciding the treatment plan for Grace.
I've also included
links that give you information help give your pets
a good start in life, and to keep them healthy and happy
for many years.
I hope
you are able to glean some information and help you
gain the knowledge to best care for your pet in case
you are ever in the same situation Grace and I were.
